Overview
Size It Up (ScaleAtlas), operated by Ar Games Mobile ("we", "our", or "us"), is a daily visual scale estimation puzzle game for iOS, Android, and Web. We respect your privacy and collect only what is strictly necessary to run the game, publish fair public leaderboards, and protect service integrity.
Data We Collect
- Pseudonymous Install Identifier: When the app is installed, a random identifier is generated locally on your device. We use this token to associate your streak and leaderboard scores without requiring registration, email addresses, or phone numbers.
- Gameplay Data: Your daily puzzle scores, ratio accuracy, completed dates, streaks, and timestamps are stored so you can view your personal archive, review past comparisons, and participate in daily rankings.
- Display Name (Optional): You may choose an optional nickname or handle (e.g. "Surveyor #42") to appear on the daily public leaderboard. You can change your display name at any time in Settings.
- Problem & Abuse Reports: If you report an inappropriate leaderboard name or an issue with an item measurement, we store the report alongside pseudonymous identifiers to review and moderate.
- Local Preferences: Audio (sound effects) and haptic feedback toggles, as well as tutorial completion states, are saved locally on your device using on-device storage (AsyncStorage) and never sent to our servers.
Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not require your email, name, phone number, or social media logins to play.
- We do not access your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, or precise GPS location.
- We do not track you across other third-party apps or websites (No cross-app tracking).
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
How We Share Data
Your optional display name, daily score (0–500), and streak are publicly visible on the daily leaderboard. No other personal information is shared with third parties beyond the infrastructure services detailed below.
Third-Party Infrastructure
- Cloudflare: We use Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare D1 SQL database, and Cloudflare CDN for fast edge API routing, leaderboard storage, SSL encryption, and DDoS defense. Review Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Legal Basis (EU / EEA Users)
Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), we process data under the following legal bases:
- Contract Performance: Processing game scores, streaks, and public leaderboard entries is necessary to provide the core gameplay service you requested.
- Legitimate Interest: Processing server connection logs and abuse reports to maintain server security, prevent fraud/bots, and uphold community standards.
International Transfers
Cloudflare processes traffic across global edge nodes. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, Cloudflare utilizes approved Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and robust technical safeguards.
Data Retention
Daily leaderboard scores and associated display names are retained indefinitely as part of historical daily records. Inappropriate or flagged handles are removed or sanitized immediately upon moderation.
Children's Privacy
Size It Up is designed for general audiences and is safe for players of all ages (Content Rating: 3+ / Everyone). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the digital age of consent in your country). If you believe a child has submitted personal details, contact us for immediate removal.
Your Rights
If you reside in the EU, UK, California (CCPA/CPRA), or applicable jurisdictions, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. Because Size It Up uses pseudonymous install identifiers rather than user accounts, please provide your player ID or approximate timestamp and handle when submitting a request.
